The intonation systems of dialects of the same language can be as different as the intonational systems of different languages
E.g. in read speech the phonological structure of Cambridge English is closer to that of Northern Standard German than to that of Belfast English
Leeds English exhibits an implementation effect that we find in Standard German, but not in Cambridge English
